One Planet Sustainables was founded to fight period poverty. Period poverty is a reality for many girls and young women in low to middle income countries.

As everyone who has bathed once in the sea knows, the world has a plastic problem. One Plandet Sustainables also wants to fight against this problem.

With the production of reusable sanitary pads that do not contain any plastic, we help the environment and can make a contribution to women in poorer regions of the world.

Our mission is to empower women and girls to face womanhood with joy and confidence while caring for our planet.

Philosophy

We believe that life is a gift and being a woman is a privilege that comes about with many other biological processes that should be celebrated. Period poverty strips women of the dignity to do so hence we commit to collaborate and empower women in low -income countries to put an end to period poverty while caring for our planet.

Goals

All women in high- and low-income countries should have access to safe, affordable, locally produced, environmentally friendly and reusable women products produced by local women for their own women and girls.

Objectives

• Share, collaborate and exchange knowledge with women groups on how to produce women products among others, using locally existing material.
• Provide and facilitate initial training and foster innovation, self-sufficiency and sustainability.
• Raise awareness, promote use and adoption of reusable vs plastic pads.
• Share and exchange knowledge about womanhood and issues that affect women, and how we can celebrate this privilege whilst caring for our planet.
